One of the notable achievements of the Company is the design and build of one of the most prestigious and largest universities in Malaysia, the Universiti Malaysia Sabah in Kota Kinabalu which was developed within a 999 acres of hilly land along the Sabah coast with a total construction cost of about RM2 Billion. Within the University’s campus, the Company had initiated the Build, Lease and Transfer (BLT) concept (the first successful concept in Malaysia) whereby the Company had completed 5 blocks of privatized student hostels with one central facility. The Phase II with a similar concept will be implemented to meet the University’s demand for providing a total of 7,270 students’ with accommodation. The lease is for a period of 30 years from 2004. On the international front, the Company has constructed the Grand Friday Mosque in the Republic of Maldives, the Sowen Valley bungalow lots in Botswana with a 18 holes PGA standard golf course and hotel facilities. Besides this, the Company is constructing a twin tower commercial building in Manama, for the National Hotels Company of Bahrain.
